New Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Revealed –


Suzuki is now gearing up to showcase new models at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show. Ahead of its start on 29th October, details about its new model have been revealed on the internet. The details specify an upcoming Suzuki’s kei car – Vision e-Sky.


From the side, it is hard to distinguish between the Wagon R and the Vision e-Sky concept, with the same tall-boxy design. However, the new Vision e-Sky will be an electric vehicle, while the Wagon R is a petrol powered hatchback.


Talking about the design characteristics, the e-Sky gets a completely new front fascia featuring pixel-designed lighting elements and C-shaped LED DRLs. Being an EV, the hatchback has a closed grille. On its side, the main attraction is the upgrade of flush door handles compared to the traditional ones offered on the Wagon R, also the new wheels and alloys grab one’s attention. At the rear, the model gets C-shaped tail lights, flat bumper, wide windscreen and spoiler mounted stop lamps.

Interiors


Moving on the inside, this new EV features a new-age design language. The features on the model include dual connected screens for instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment, ambient lighting, wireless connectivity, wireless charging pad on the armrest, new steering wheel and others in its package.


Suzuki has not revealed anything stating the specifications of this kei car yet. However, the brand has claimed that this model will run more than 270km on a single charge.

Will This Model Come To India?


At present, there is no information regarding Suzuki’s plan to launch this model in India. Moreover, looking at the current stance, it is very highly unlikely for the brand to launch this model. Apart from that, the brand is currently planning to introduce the e-Vitara as its first electric vehicle in India.
