Upcoming SUVs In India – Tata Sierra

The first one is the old legendary Tata SUV making its comeback. At the Auto Expo held earlier this year, the Indian automaker showcased the upcoming SIerra SUV. The new SUV will be a direct rival to Creta, and with its legendary nameplate, the SUV is expected to eat a share of Creta’s sales.
The automaker is expected to launch this SUV by the end of this year or by the start of next year. The launch date is not yet confirmed. The new model has been already showcased, and the design language will resemble other modern day Tata cars. Moreover, the model will be launched in the ICE and EV versions, with the EV version to be launched firstly.
The feature list is still not yet disclosed by the brand. However, we expect it to equip several premium and advanced tech in its list. Some expected features are – 12.3-inch touchscreen system, 12.3-inch passenger touchscreen system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10-speaker JBL sound system, ambient lighting, and a lot more.

Nissan Tekton

The next SUV on the list that will rival Creta is the Nissan Tekton. Nissan has now taken the wraps off its new SUV in the country. The Nissan Tekton will be a premium compact SUV in the country launched by the mid 2026.
Unlike the other automakers, trying to introduce SUVs with a coupe-like design, Nissan is bringing the SUV with a butchy look. On the design-front, the Nissan Tekton equips a muscular front, new multi spoke alloy wheels and a sportier design on the rear. The brand is yet to reveal its interiors. However, we expect the SUV to be loaded with features too.
Having said that, the SUV will offer features like a big touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ADAS, 360-degree camera, powered and ventilated seats, premium upholstery and more.

Having said that, this electric SUV is expected to make its debut later by the end of this year.
Talking about the features, the model boasts several exciting ones including – Level 2 ADAS, 10.1-inch touchscreen system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, powered & ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, 7 Airbags, reclining rear seats & more! Jeep is known to make some premium interior and the same can be expected from the new Jeep SUV. In terms of features, it could be offered with a 360-degree camera, ADAS, bigger touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and more. The model is expected to be priced up to Rs 25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Upcoming SUVs In India – Toyota Victoris Rebadged

Maruti has already launched its all new Victoris SUV in the country. That said, we expect the model to have its Toyota version too. Once Toyota launches its own Victoris rebadged model, it will be positioned against the Creta in the mid-size SUV segment. While it’s too early to talk about its launch, the new model can be launched by the mid or second half of the following year.
Now, the Toyota version of Victoris will have a different design boasting more of Toyota’s DNA. But, will it keep the under-belly CNG tank as it is would be something we would need to watch out for. Apart from that, the feature list on Toyota’s SUV is expected to be same as the Maruti Victoris.

Renault Duster

Another old nameplate that will be launched again to trouble Creta is the Duster. Yes, the last car on the list is the one that made the compact SUV segment popular in the country. The India bound Renault Duster has already been revealed in the foreign markets. That said, it will be introduced in the country by the end of this year, while its launch might happen by the start of next year.
The SUV has features including a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, big touchscreen infotainment unit, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, leatherette ventilated seats, powered driver’s seat, dual zone climate control among others in its package. The new gen model will get safety equipment like ADAS, 6-airbags, ABS, hill hold, hill descent control, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake and more in its package.
But, looking at the popularity, there will be a lot to cope for the Renault Duster to trouble the Hyundai Creta.
