Is Tata Motors confused with the Sierra launch? Well, not really! See – September 2025 was undoubtedly the best month for Tata Motors. In that month, the brand recorded its highest monthly sales with more than 59,000 units being dispatched. Among all, it was the Nexon with an astonishing 22,000 units sold. So, with such a successful run, will Tata Motors launch the Sierra now? Or will it reserve it for 2026 – as per rumours?

Tata Sierra Launch

Tata Motors had a successful run in September 2025 – Nexon being the hero product. Do not forget, the current model was launched in 2023 and is still selling like a hot cake. In such a scenario, what will the brand do with its biggest Sierra launch? Initially, it was said that Tata Motors would launch the new Sierra (ICE & EV) – by the end of this year. And of course, with a drop in sales in mid-2025, it made sense to launch the Ace Of Spades as soon as possible. However, recent reports now suggest that the brand is planning to launch the Sierra ICE in November 2025, while the EV is planned for January 2026!

Now, launching the Sierra before the end of this year will only add more sales. However, Tata Motors always preferred to launch the EV version of its SUV before the ICE models. Having said that, an official once hinted that the launch would happen by November of this year. In that sense, will the rumours of launching ICE first and then EV be true? Even if it’s true, we believe Tata Motors will indeed launch the EV version first. All in all, it’s a wait-and-watch scenario for everyone. On the other hand, what we can expect is the launch of a much-needed Punch facelift. Apart from the new launch timeline rumour, some new and interesting details of the Sierra have surfaced on the internet.

Tata Sierra Details

The Sierra will be a feature-loaded SUV, which is expected to come with a triple-screen layout. It will boast all the features of the current flagship Tata SUVs. However, for the EV version, reports claim that Sierra might be launched in RWD configuration. Currently, only the Harrier.ev offers RWD or AWD configuration in the brand’s lineup. The Sierra is expected to be the second product! It is also said that Tata Motors might give Sierra a sporty appeal in terms of driving dynamics. Reports claim that the brand has appointed Narayan Karthikeyan – a former Formula 1 Indian racer, to test the Sierra. And all of that is happening in the twisty roads of Nilgiris in Ooty. That said, all the information is based on rumours, and Tata officials are yet to confirm any of these!
