MG Windsor Inspire Edition Launched!


Yes, we are talking about the MG Windsor EV – the only SUV that’s got Tata Motors worried about its EV SUV lineup! To celebrate the success of the best-selling EV, MG has launched an Inspire Edition of the Windsor EV. Talking of which, the new Inspire Edition has been launched at Rs 17.68 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The new model will be limited to just 300 units, and while the bookings have started, deliveries will begin from October 15. But why Nitin Gadkari? Well, MG Windsor EV Inspire Edition was unveiled by none other than Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari. This also highlights the importance of Windsor in the brand’s line-up. So, what’s new in this special edition? Let’s take a look!

Design


MG has launched the Inspire Edition of the Windsor with new design elements to give it a more bespoke look. New design elements include a dual-tone Pearl White and Starry Black exterior paint, blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels with rose gold accents, and blacked-out ORVMs. Additionally, you can pay an amount and equip rose gold accents on the front grille, side moulding and bumper corner guards. Moreover, 3D inspire-themed floor mats, embossed cushions and leather key covers are also part of the accessory pack.

On the inside, the cabin gets a unique Sangria Red and Black leather dual-tone interior, along with gold accents. Apart from these additions, the rest of the cabin remains the same. Just like the exterior, you can pay an additional amount for a new Drive Mate Pro+ kit that includes a glass roof with lighting and illuminated sill plates.

MG Windsor Inspire Edition Launched – Specs And Features


Apart from the mentioned updates that are exclusive to Inspire Edition, the Windsor EV as a product remains unchanged. It continues to offer 2 battery pack options – a 38kWh battery pack and a 52.9kWh battery pack. Both battery packs, along with a single electric motor, produce 134bhp and 200Nm of torque. The smaller battery pack offers a range of 331km, while the larger battery pack provides 449km on a single charge. So, will the new Inspire Edition help the brand boost the sales of Windsor EV & attract more customers even for the regular model?
