Mahindra Scorpio Classic or the Scorpio N are two products that have an imposing stance & offer a tall seating position – something that Indians love about any SUV in India. The same has been proved last month in September 2025! In the previous month, many SUVs – compact or mid-size SUVs witnessed a massive growth. However, the Scorpio duo, with premium pricing, has also seen an impressive sale. Talking of which, Mahindra sold 18,372 units of Scorpio N & Scorpio Classic! It is indeed a remarkable figure, considering their pricing. That said, we expect it is the Scorpio N to contribute the majority of sales over the Classic variant! Why?

Mahindra Scorpio N – What’s So Special?


For starters, the Scorpio Classic is the pre-facelift model of the Scorpio. It is an old-school boxy SUV that has been ruling the Indian market for decades. On the other hand, the Scorpio N is an all-new product, based on a much superior platform. It is big, tall, and the bonnet is also high for better road presence. Additionally, the larger dimensions translate into a spacious cabin. However, these are not the only factors that make Scorpio N a preferred choice among buyers.

Apart from the design factor, the Scorpio N gets superior & powerful engine options. Talking of which, the SUV comes with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine (200bhp & 380Nm) & a 2.2-litre diesel engine (172bhp & 400Nm). Both these engines are offered with options for manual & automatic gearbox options. These engines are pretty refined with a really lightweight steering wheel. Additionally, it also comes with full-blown 4X4 capabilities, and its ladder-on-frame platform offers excellent ride quality. Rest, it gets all the necessary features like – Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, 2-zone automatic climate control, 12-speaker Sony Sound System, and more.
