2025 Toyota Fortuner

Toyota has just unveiled a new Leader Edition of the Fortuner. So what exactly is the Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition? For starters, the edition is a part of the brand’s Drum Tao Music Festival. It is similar to what we saw with the Urban Cruiser Hyryder Aerox Edition. With the new Leader Edition, the Fortuner gets updated front bumpers, a new front grille, blacked-out alloy wheels and more. All these cosmetic changes make the SUV more aggressive than before. On the inside, it continues with the same interior layout. However, for the Leader Edition, the SUV gets a black & maroon dual-tone interior theme. In terms of features, the SUV finally gets TPMS, auto-folding ORVMs & illuminated scuff plates! And that’s about it! The rest remains completely unchanged, and it is a strong reason why you should not get excited. That said, it is important to note that the Leader Edition will be available with diesel 4X2 models only.

Same Engine Options

So the above changes are the only improvements that the Leader Edition gets. The engine options continue to remain the same. Being offered with only diesel 4X2 models, the Leader Edition will continue with the same 2.8-litre diesel engine (201bhp & 500Nm). The bookings for the same are expected to commence from the second week of October 2025. And yes, we can expect Toyota to charge some premium for the new Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition over the regular 4X2 models.
